Growing Practices

We are often asked what kind of growing practices our farmers use so here are some explanations!

OG--Certified Organic is a certification process accredited by the USDA.  Click here for more info on OG practices.

CNG--Certified Naturally Grown is a grass roots alternative to federal organic certification and is often a better fit for smaller farms.  Click here is some more info on CNG practices.

Many of our farms use farming practices that are chemical free but not certified in any way.  Many of our farms that fall under this category follow the same practices as CNG and OG but choose not to get any certification in order to cut down on the costs and time involved in being certified.  Please check out the Farmers & Staff page for more information on individual farms growing practices.
